Although I would not recommend this provider for one reason
that I will explain, they are in fact a fairly decent option
for a low cost hosting solution. We used them for about 3 to
4 years with only a few minor issues here and there except
for one in my opinion. Our website needs high uptime as
without the site, we don't make money. On one occasion IX
shut our site down and it was a huge panic to find out why.
After getting hold of tech support, turns out someone had
complained that we were spamming them (which we were not)
and because of this, IX shut us down. So I would not
recommend IX if you need high uptime and need to monetize
your site. IX is probably ok for blogs and other small sites
but I caution you against using them for real business
applications. In saying that, maybe their policies have
changed and they don't do take these incredibly silly
actions any more.

Not a terrible hosting provider as good value for
money but I had concerns about the security of my
site. It was on a shared server and one day I ended
up with dodgy links at the bottom of EVERY page on
my site. IX said it must have been weak passwords
on my side and that there were no other
complaints. Well I managed to find other sites on
this server using the IP address and sure enough
they all had been violated with these links. Left a
bad taste in my mouth and have since moved to
inmotion. No problems there to date.

ixwebhosting is good value and has decent features.
At this price it is tough to really complain about
much. Any issues I have are really more due to this
being a shared server (like the other providers in
this table) and the corresponding security
concerns. Only really had 1 or 2 downtime incidents
over a period of about 3 years.
